PROJECT OVERVIEW
When Bushwick Laundry House approached SEAM.design, the brief was simple but ambitious: make doing laundry feel like something you'd actually look forward to. Currently in design development, this Brooklyn retail interior challenges every assumption about what a laundromat can be.
THE CONCEPT
The centerpiece is an oversized reception desk clad in dramatic Calacatta marble, backlit at the base for a soft, welcoming glow — a statement piece that immediately signals this is not your average laundromat.
Behind the desk, a slatted wood feature wall grounds the space in warmth, displaying the brand identity with quiet confidence. Teal accent walls and illuminated shelving inject energy and personality without overwhelming the palette, creating a space that feels both fresh and considered.
A dedicated waiting area with upholstered seating invites customers to settle in, while integrated digital kiosks keep the experience seamless and modern.
