West Palm Beach Residence

Set in a double-height home framed by garden views, this kitchen and dining space was designed as one continuous room: warm, quiet, and built around natural light. We worked with a restrained palette of white oak, honed stone, and brushed brass, and let proportion and detail do the rest.

The Kitchen
The cabinetry is custom white oak with a slim shaker profile, run floor to ceiling so the storage reads as architecture rather than furniture. Softly radiused corners carry through the island, the upper cabinets, and the range hood, which gives the room its gentle, sculptural rhythm. A single stone with soft, drifting veining wraps the countertops and rises as a full-height backsplash, uninterrupted by grout lines, so the walls feel carved rather than tiled.

The Island
The island anchors the room. Its rounded ends soften the path between kitchen and dining, and a recessed, lit seating niche lets the stools tuck in cleanly. Above it, three alabaster pendants on brass stems give a warm, diffused glow once the daylight fades.

The Appliance Wall
Refrigeration and pantry storage sit behind a continuous wall of oak panels with full-length brass pulls. Pocket doors at one end open onto a lit coffee station, so there is a place for morning routines that disappears completely when it isn't in use.

The Dining Room
The dining area shares the kitchen's materials but changes the mood. A linear brass fixture with an alabaster shade hangs within a cove-lit ceiling panel, framing the table without walls. Sculpted, curved-back chairs in ivory and cognac surround a stone-topped table on a solid pedestal base. Large-format porcelain flooring runs through the whole level, so the space moves from cooking to gathering to the living room without a break.
